Fringe seller: meet Allister Lewison, the one Young Rich property mogul who stayed out of the inner cities

Allister Lewison was working at Woolworths managing a team stacking shelves at night when he bought his first investment property at the age of 20, a two-bedroom unit in the Melbourne outer suburb of Boronia.

It was fortuitous timing. It was the late 1990s and the property sector was nowhere near as hot as it is now, and Lewison was able to afford the deposit while also studying business and marketing at the local TAFE.
