Australian Housing Market Update – February 2014

Data, data, data. Take the small amount of time to absorb some data. Immerse yourself in numbers. Some of the highlights for me are the average time on market when selling is 37 days. The lowest on record. National stock levels are 12% lower than this time last year. Brisbane market fundamentals are the strongest nationally.

Dwelling values continued their upwards trend, with the RP Data–Rismark combined capital city index posting a 1.2% capital gain in January. According to the RP Data-Rismark Home Value Index, a 1.2 per cent rise in capital city dwelling values was recorded over the month of January with a 2.7 per cent rise for the three months to end of January.
